Chris Parker left Springfield, Massachusetts in 1980 and came to Brattleboro, Vermont. He worked as a carpenter in the four years that followed, where he gained valuable experience in post and beam joinery. During the same decade he decided to venture on his own and began what is now known as Chris Parker Building and Restoration. In the years that followed, Chris started a family, moved to Guilford, Vermont and became part of the same landscape he helps maintain. When traveling through Southern Vermont you are sure to see his work dotting the Green Mountains. Today Chris and his crew of experienced builders can be seen dismantling and restoring old barns, remodeling an aging farmhouse, developing an addition, or replacing a sill. "Making old building feel good again" and "keeping old friends around" is what drives the business and it is more true today than ever!
